Avanti's 4th Annual Giving Week: Strengthening Communities Together
At Avanti, giving back to the communities in which we operate has always been at the heart of our mission. We believe in the power of collective action and the profound impact that even the smallest gestures of kindness can have on the lives of those in need. That's why, since 2020, we have been hosting an annual Giving Week to raise funds for local organizations with impactful missions, ranging from providing job opportunities to essential life tools and combating homelessness.
A Look Back at Our Journey
In 2022, we celebrated our third annual Giving Week with great enthusiasm and a commitment to making a real difference. With the generous support of our community and a special matching donation from Chairmain Doug Andrews, we proudly raised a grand total of $7,350. These funds were directed towards eight deserving organizations, each dedicated to a unique cause that touches lives in our local communities.
Over the course of three years, our collective efforts have resulted in raising an impressive $40,675 for causes that truly matter. It's a testament to the dedication and compassion of our team members, partners, and supporters who have come together to create a positive impact.
The Giving Week 2023
As we embark on our 4th Annual Giving Week, which takes place October 16 through October 27, we are more inspired than ever to continue our mission of supporting local organizations with effective and transformative missions. In 2023, we are placing a special focus on organizations dedicated to working with homeless individuals.
Homelessness remains a critical issue in many communities, and Avanti is committed to making a meaningful contribution toward alleviating this challenge. We firmly believe that by working together, we can provide support, resources, and hope to those in need, helping them find a path to stability and a brighter future.
This year, we've chosen to fundraise for the following organizations:
PAPPA'S KIDS
Pappa's Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged children and families in Arizona. With a commitment to creating positive change, they offer a range of programs and services aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable youth. Whether through educational support, mentorship, or access to essential resources, Pappa's Kids strives to break the cycle of poverty and provide opportunities for these children to thrive. Their holistic approach and tireless dedication to the community make them a vital force in helping young minds flourish and shaping a brighter future for all.
UMOM NEW DAY CENTERS
UMOM New Day Centers is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness and supporting families and individuals in need in the Phoenix, Arizona area. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, UMOM provides comprehensive services such as emergency shelter, affordable housing, job training, and educational resources to help vulnerable populations regain stability and self-sufficiency. Their compassionate and innovative approach to addressing homelessness has positively impacted thousands of lives, offering hope and a pathway towards brighter futures.
MILE HIGH UNITED WAY
Mile High United Way is a dynamic and impactful non-profit organization based in Denver, Colorado, committed to improving the lives of individuals and families in the local community. With a storied history of collaboration and philanthropy, they focus on addressing critical issues such as education, income stability, and health to create lasting, positive change. Mile High United Way brings together resources, volunteers, and expertise to drive innovative solutions and support those in need. By mobilizing the community and leveraging their network of partners, they strive to build a stronger, more equitable Denver.
FOSTER KIDS KC
Foster Kids KC is a dedicated non-profit organization in Kansas City, Missouri, with a mission to support and improve the lives of children in the foster care system. They work tirelessly to provide essential resources, advocacy, and a supportive community for foster children and the families that care for them. Foster Kids KC's commitment to ensuring that every child in foster care has access to a loving and stable home is evident through their programs and services. HOMELESS YOUTH CONNECTION
Homeless Youth Connection (HYC) is a compassionate non-profit organization based in Arizona, dedicated to providing essential support and resources to homeless youth and young adults. Their mission is to empower these vulnerable individuals by offering housing assistance, educational guidance, and life skills development. Through their unwavering commitment, HYC strives to break the cycle of homelessness, helping young people overcome adversity and build brighter futures.
ENTRYWAY (FORMERLY SHELTERS TO SHUTTERS)
Entryway is a 501(c)3 organization working to help transition both families and individuals facing homelessness to economic self-sufficiency through providing housing, full-time employment and career training. Entryway accomplishes this by partnering with companies across the real estate industry.
