Avanti Residential Welcomes Highlands Lodge and Village at Mission Farms into Kansas Portfolio
Last month, Avanti Residential welcomed two new communities into our portfolio, bringing our community count to 35 total, and now six in the Kansas City-metro area. Highlands Lodge and Village at Mission Farms are conveniently situated in the I-435 Business District of Overland Park; the city’s growth is rapid and home to many of Kansas City’s largest corporate employers, including T-Mobile, Aetna, and Netsmart,
On Wednesday, March 16, Avanti closed on Highlands Lodge. Built in 2014, this community is a 230-unit mid-rise apartment community featuring a stunning mountain lodge design. The community features ample amenities such as a clubhouse, resort style pool, dog park, 24-hour fitness center, pet washing station, coffee bar and BBQ grills throughout the community, as well as apartment features like kitchens with granite countertops, hardwood floors, walk-in closets, and washers and dryers.
Thursday, March 17 saw the management change of Village at Mission Farms, just one mile from Highlands Lodge. Built in 2012, the 212-unit Village at Mission Farms is a mixed-use luxury mid-rise apartment community with structured parking. Though not owned by Avanti, convenient on-site retail includes CryoSalon, Mission: SKIN, Eyestyle Optics and Martin City Brewing Company. Community amenities include a spacious clubhouse, 24-hour fitness center, resident lounge and workspace, Resort style pool with cabana areas, indoor/outdoor patio and game area and outdoor grilling stations. In the apartments, residents will enjoy offerings like Dwelo keyless entry, stainless steel appliances, kitchens with granite countertops, and spacious living areas.
Just 22 minutes south of Kansas City, Overland Park offers the proximity to city life with the ease and convenience of the suburbs. There is no shortage of fun and entertainment options in and around “The Park”—from lunch at McLain’s Market to retail therapy at Park Place to TopGolf with family and friends.
Although each community has their own unique feel and design, from an investment lens, they are rather similar. With each community being newer construction, they require very little financially to bring to as-new condition. With Kansas City being a strong growth market due to job creation and quality of life, Avanti is proud to bring these communities into their portfolio and believes these communities will be solid financial investments for a long-term hold.
